Mobile App Update

On January 26th we will be updating our mobile app. Please be advised if you are still using the old app after January 26th, you will not be able to access online banking via the app. Be sure to download the new app. For any questions or concerns, please contact your branch.

Members earned 5% in 2014

Our members earned over $2 million in dividends or interest this year. Chinook Financial will share a 5% fixed dividend with our members for fiscal 2014. For details review your December statement.

Members give a resounding "yes" in favour of the amalgamation of Chinook Credit Union and First Calgary Financial

At special general meetings held in September, Chinook Credit Union and First Calgary Financial members gave a resounding "yes" vote for the amalgamation that will see the two credit unions join operations into a new regionally-focused credit union. (read more)

Name of new regionally-focused credit union is approved by boards: Connect First Credit Union

Pending regulatory approval, Chinook Credit Union and First Calgary Financial announced earlier today the name of the new regionally-focused credit union created by their amalgamation will be Connect First Credit Union. (read more)

Interest Calculation Changes for Youth Accounts

As of July 1, 2014, all Youth accounts will be switching to daily interest. Interest will be calculated on the balance in the account at the end of the day and paid monthly. If you have any questions, please contact the Chinook team at your local branch.

Internet Explorer 11 - Browser Requirements

 Chinook Financial Online Banking currently does not support the use of Internet Explorer 11, especially for those members who are attempting to complete the online banking registration process. Members should uninstall IE11 and revert back to an earlier Internet Explorer browser (10 or less) or use an alternative browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Opera).
